I am leaving deviantART... Pour Que... Simple... This site calls itself deviantART.com... Yet there is nothing deviant about it... They censor "explicit" work... They censor "copyrighted" work and they place restrictions at every turn... For some time deviant has disgusted me... I have seen brilliant artists not get proper attention while posers and fools get props... Make no mistake there is nothing radical or deviant about this or any other site... Revolution takes places in the streets not in the towers of industry... I encourage anyone who reads this message to do as I plan on doing which is take your work to the masses... print handbills or stickers and plaster them everywhere... Organise your own shows... You don't need to be in New York to make it happen... Cindy Sherman shot to fae by organising shows in Albany of all places and Damien Hirsh started out in a warehouse... All you need is within you... The internet like the Capitolism that spawned it is a dying beast... It's corpse rotting on the highway of History... So implore you... Take the Ticket... and ride this ride called life until it spits you out... I see all you true deviants in hell

this is depressing, but i support your decision. you were one of the very few i loved seeing work from. hope you do extremely well marketing yourself. but i have to be honest, I think you'll be disgusted by the "real world" too. :shrug: no place is safe from bad art. :-P But I do really really want you to do well. You deserve better recognition than you have received here.

I kinda agree with you...seems to be a lot of people focused on page views & comments rather than originality & creativity... I'll be so sorry to see you go...I love your colourful, exhuberant work! :bye: :cry:

Yeah charlie, i agree too. It seems like the ppl only look for favs and views if someone dont believe me take a look at the forum and you can see posts like "Favs for free" and that stuff. Yeah Deviantart has censored some things and that sux cuz this is supose to be a free comunity.

I took all my writing off of devart for that exact reason. It was just so disheartening when you read some piece of s*!t poem with hundreds of favorites and comments and i put my heart and soul into a piece and get ziltch. This site has little to do with actually talent, its more like a popularity contest. F!ck the system! I say anyone with talent on here should stop wasting time and start showing people in the real world what they are capeable of.
